>> PRODUCING THE MOULDS
Specialist operators in the machine shop produce the steel moulds for the plastics. These are ideal for high production levels and are subjected to the appropriate processes for surface treatment where necessary.
The metal materials used in the construction of the moulds are selected on the basis of internal know-how and the specific characteristics of the product and the process.
The mechanical processes are carried out using milling machines, lathes, grinders, drills, saws, spark erosion machines and various other equipment.
All milling machine terminals are assisted by computers with CAD-CAM software which make it possible to work complex surfaces and enable the operator to make the best choice of machine tool programme, also providing a preview of the finished product.
The subsequent use of other instruments, with the assistance of in-house polishing and sand blasting processes, makes it possible to complete the processing stage of the moulds to the point of making them usable for production.
